This midcentury stool is attributed to Danny Ho Fong for Tropi-Cal and features a distinctive construction with a rattan, bamboo, and woven wicker seat and a black wrought iron base with silver-chrome feet. The base has been carefully repainted in the original colors and the seat has been lightly sanded and refinished with a polyurethane coat. The stool has very few flaws. One short stick of rattan is missing in the seat but this is only visible from some angles (pictured). Please see all of the photos to get the best sense of the overall appearance and condition of this great-looking piece.

The top structure utilizes bent bamboo poles to form a sturdy, curved backrest frame and seat edge. Woven wicker creates the main portion of backrest and seat. The base exemplifies the union of midcentury modern blended with California bohemian organic textures. The legs are tapered black wrought iron legs that flare outward slightly to provide excellent stability. This model has a built-in swivel mechanism and a circular footrest ring. The warm colors of the textiles and golden semi-gloss finish set off this incredible find.

Dimensions: The back rest is 9 1/2 inches high. The seat rises 29 3/4 from the floor. The diameter of the seat is 15 1/2 inches. Overall height is approximately 40 inches.
