1980s West German Frosted Dogwood Petal Glass Bowl

This piece is a vintage Walther-Glas (Walther Glass) frosted crystal floral bowl. Produced in West Germany, the pattern features embossed, frosted four-petal dogwood flowers running along the scalloped rim.

Walther-Glas was often distributed or co-branded by Mikasa as the Carmen or Sylvia frosted lines. These patterns and styles were all discontinued (the company closed in 2013) and are now sought by collectors.

The bowl is 5 nches across and 2 1/4 inches tall. It has a clear crystal body accented by textured frosted petals, fluted vertical ribbing along the bottom base, and an organic wavy rim. There are no flaws, cracks, or chips.

The bowl is appropriate for fruit, flowers, floating candles, and many other purposes. It could be for keeping trinkets or used as a centerpiece. It is gift-quality and truly unique.
