Vintage McCoy Pottery Pink and Turquoise Round 12” Pasta Serving Bowl

This large heavy handpainted McCoy pasta bowl has loads of charm and is looking for a good home! The handpainted pink stripe is bordered with turquoise aqua stripes on a cream-white background. The bowl is stamped. It stands 2 3/4 inches tall and measures 12 inches across. McCoy made this bowl for serving pasta but it would serve as a lovely salad, vegetable, or fruit dish. There are no chips or cracks. The glaze is bright and there is no crazing. Please see all of the photos for the best appreciation of this vintage piece. On very close inspection there is a tiny skip in the pink (pictured). The handpainted pink stripe undulates into the border at one point. In some light, faint scratches in the bowl may be seen (pictured). There are tiny dots under glaze that occurred during the crafting process. There are three indentations on the foot (intentional) and one small area with extra ceramic (pictured) on the bottom. In the seventies, these same bowls were made by machines and lost some of their individuality. This one dates from earlier (40s or 50s) and has all the hallmarks of a handcrafted piece. The light cream with happy spring coastal colors fit in many decor schemes.
