This amazing beach-inspired set is signed by Richard Arriaga, along with his signature dove symbol (pictured). The pendant necklace and bracelet are artisan jewelry created by Richard Arriaga, a self-taught jewelry designer and craftsman who founded Arriaga Originals, LLC. His handmade jewelry is known for being unique and often incorporating natural elements like the ammonite fossil seen in the pendant. Richard and his wife Shellie established their jewelry gallery in the 30A community of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, where it became a popular destination. Richard Arriaga sadly passed away in March 2022, but his legacy continues through his son Max's work and the enduring value and appeal of his one-of-a-kind pieces. The sterling and copper cuff bracelet in this set is another example of his distinct, hand-fabricated metalwork.
The Arriagas work in sterling silver and the clasp on the necklace is stamped 925. Both the pendant and bracelet have a substantial amount of sterling silver and also feature natural copper. Please review all the photos for the best sense of the condition and appearance of the set. The pendant necklace is on a round leather cord and measures 20 inches. The pendant itself is approximately 1 1/2 inches wide and 1 inch long. The copper and silver cuff bracelet is somewhat adjustable and is 2 3/4 inches long. The ammonite fossil has many natural hues that enhance its beauty: bronze, red, sand, deep green, and gold tones can be seen. These pieces are rare and elsewhere a signed Arriaga pendant is listed for over $800. This set is an example of vintage jewelry with cultural significance. The genre of the pieces have been attributed as tribal or bohemian. Shipping is free in the contiguous United States.
