This is a nice set of hand-carved wooden fruit from the midcentury. These types of carved wooden fruits are associated with the 1960s and 1970s, often made from woods like monkey pod or teak. Such pieces were frequently from the Philippines and used as centerpieces or coffee table decor. This set is unmarked. They have very few blemishes. The apple has some small scuffs. The mango has several indentations; the pear has one small mark. These are all pictured. The fruit have been cleaned and polished with a nontoxic polish intended for midcentury pieces. The stems are leather and are intact and not damaged. This set would look nice displayed in a basket, bowl, on a shelf, or in a midcentury-styled living room, study, lounge, or bar area.
