These mid-century modern barware or drinking glasses with their gold-tone caddy were made during the 1960s. They are a popular vintage style, often referred to as Groovy Dots, Polka Dots, or Beads; they are sometimes interpreted as a honeycomb pattern. The top tier is a brilliant yellow; the next is orange; and the lowest tier is brown, giving an ombre effect. The set is original and the glasses have no visible flaws, chips, scrapes, or missing enamel. The rims of the glasses are in good shape and the bottoms are not scratched. The glasses are housed in a metal carrying caddy, typical of mid-century design for easy serving, display, and storage.
The caddy itself has some small imperfections visible upon close inspection. There are areas of discoloration, mostly on the lowermost bars. These are pictured; please inspect all the photos (there are some extreme close-ups) to get a clear sense of the condition of the set. For the age of the caddy, it may be considered good vintage condition, with some minor flaws, but no significant color loss and no corrosion, rust, or bent areas. The glasses are in very good to exceptional condition, retaining their vibrant patterns.
The glasses are 4 1/3 inches tall, 2 inches across their base, and 2 1/2 inches in diameter across the top. The holder is 9 1/2 inches long, 4 inches wide, and is 6 inches tall at the handle.
