Vintage Seed Pearl Art Deco Style Twisted Torsade Necklace

This vintage torsade necklace has 12 strands of seed pearls or small, uniform milky white glass beads. The ornate clasp is silver tone. An single silver loop extender appears to have been added at the clasp, which makes the necklace much easier to fasten; however, this could easily be removed using needle-nose pliers. There are no missing pearls and all the strands have a fine luster. The necklace--unfastened--measures just over 16 inches. It dates from the late 1980s.
