Vintage Hand-Painted Quail Figurine -- Andrea by Sadek

One only. These blue and white quail were made as pairs in Japan and distributed as part of the Andrea by Sadek home collection. This is the crouching quail. The blue of the feathers is not deep cobalt; it is a medium blue and fades to light blue on the breast. This is not wear or age but how the ceramic or porcelain was originally hand-painted. The beak is gold. Please see all the photos for a sense of the piece's appearance and condition. There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or paint errors. The sticker that reads Andrea by Sadek is on the bottom. The bird is about 5 inches long and is 3 1/4 in height. It is getting harder to find these figurines in this good-to-very-good condition.
