Rare Metropolitan Museum of Art Desert Orchid Rhinestone Brooch

This desert orchid brooch is marked MMA CN CINER. It was commissioned by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and made by Ciner, a respected jewelry manufacturer. The brooch is very well made. The clasp works as it should and there are even some rhinestones on the back. All the pink rhinestones catch light well and the gold background is bright. The back and front are unblemished. The center has brilliant white rhinestones. All stones are present and tight. The brooch measures 2 1/2 to 2 3/4 inches across. This brooch would make a lovely gift or an exceptional addition to any jewelry collection.
