Vintage 1950s Corn King Creamer and Matching Plate Set by Shawnee Pottery

$46.00

This is a set consisting of a Corn King cream pitcher and one Corn King plate. Shawnee Pottery made these pieces from 1946 to 1954 in Zanesville, Ohio. Both the pitcher and plate are marked Shawnee USA with their numerical designations (80 and 68, respectively). The cream pitcher is slightly over 5 inches tall. The plate is 6 1/4 inches wide and 9 1/2 inches long. There is a tiny chip at the base of the pitcher and a small flaw in the glaze on one side of its handle toward the bottom. The inside of the pitcher looks pristine. The plate has no scratches on its surface. Please see the detailed photos for a full appreciation of the condition of these pieces. They are in very good condition for 75-year-old ceramics. These whimsical and charming pottery pieces will add to an existing collection or stand alone. The bright green and yellow colors are pleasing to the eye and the glaze retains its shine. Extra packing material will be included for safe transport.
