This bright orange Steelcase office or task chair still has the original tag and is model 421-312 from 1987. It is in very good condition. The model is relatively rare as Steelcase made more of these chairs in the cantilever style. This chair swivels, rolls easily on its four wheels, and is quite comfortable. This iconic design was first introduced by Charles Pollock for Knoll in 1963. The midcentury design unites atomic elements with utilitarian, industrial features. This chair has shiny bright chrome with black accents and undamaged solid wheels (not casters); the armrests have little to no wear. The chair adjusts up and down. The orange tweed fabric is uniform and has no flaws. The upholstery and foam padding have no issues. The detailed photos show the tag under the seat and the overall condition of the chair.
