This cradle is most likely from the late 1800s (making it about 155 years old) and would be perfect to display dolls. It is unmarked. The finish and patina of the wood is pleasing and the piece is in original, unaltered condition. The cradle rocks and there are no cracks in the wood frame. It does need slats. These cribs are not safe for babies due to the wide spaces between the spindles. The rails are 14 inches high, and the crib is 19 1/2 inches wide and 40 inches long. It weighs about 40 pounds. This beautiful antique is looking for a new home. A lot of history here.
