This cabinet has been untouched for many years, waiting in storage for a new owner. The Coppes Inc. is still in business and is the best source for the precise date of the cabinet; they could also completely refurbish it. Coppes (incorporated in 1936) were the original Hoosier cabinet builders. The cabinet is marked and stamped. It has been painted at least twice. The enamel top, which slides out slightly, has some flaws in the enamel and is scratched on the surface from use and wear. All the drawer and cabinet pulls are intact and present. The paint is chipping at the bottom of the cabinet on the sides. Please see all the detailed photos. There is a small area of loose joinery at the back, and the frame base it sits on has some dry rot on one side. The flour sifter is not present. The cabinet has been cleaned but is still in need of deep cleaning. The original glass panels have decorative reddish-gold stencil scrollwork; a few areas are no longer visible. Some of the drawers and surfaces have old contact paper on them.
The cabinet's enamel top is 32 inches from the ground. The enamel top is about 40 inches wide. The upper cabinet rises 38 inches above the enamel top at its highest point.
