This school desk is in original, unaltered condition. The metal is in good condition and the bench folds easily. The top does not lift up. The feet show some wear but are not corroded or compromised. The desk is marked "3R" and "3L" on the right and left legs, respectively. It has a ink well hole, a rectangular cubby underneath for papers, and a pencil groove. The desk top is 27 inches from the ground. The top of the bench back is 29 inches from the ground. The bench and desk top are 22 inches across. The desk top is 15 inches deep. The top has many scratches, etchings, graffiti, and variations in finish and tone. Please look at the photos carefully. Its patina adds to the interest and historical value of this piece. It is heavy (at least 50 pounds). Please inquire if you are interested in another; there is another of the same period and in similar condition. Pick up is always welcome.
