This amazing sterling silver vintage piece was handcrafted in the 1960s. The 925 mark can be seen on the back. The oblong inset onyx pieces are shiny black. There is extensive scrollwork and detailing on this piece, which is heavy and very well crafted. The clasp is a tongue and box design, which snaps tightly and is opened by depressing a small lip. It has been recently cleaned but left original and not heavily polished. Some imperfections in its manufacture and patina from time may be seen; please look carefully at all of the photos provided. For example, one panel has a tiny fold at one corner. The bracelet is stamped "Hecho in Mexico" with the distinctive Golden Eagle (El Águila Real) on the clasp; see detailed photo. The panels are joined by ornate hinges. The bracelet is approximately 7 inches long and hence about 3 1/2 inches in diameter when fastened. If you love the Mexican silver arts, or know someone who does, this unisex piece is sure to please.
