Tagua nut jewelry was developed to replace ivory and phenol formaldehyde plastics like Bakelite. Tagua nut is a sustainable material; the nuts are gathered after they fall from the tree. The shells are then polished and used in a variety of ways. This handmade bracelet, probably from the 1970s, shows natural variations in color, making it unique. The bracelet appears to be in good to very good condition; the color is bright and the elastic is stretchy and strong. Please view the detailed photos for its appearance and condition. The diameter across on the outside is 3 inches; the inside diameter is 2 1/2 inches. Free shipping in the contiguous United States.
