Vintage atomic deliciousness! This rare set of three Troy Sunshade patio chairs was made in the 1950s. The frames are aluminum and have a gold finish. The seats and backs are woven wicker. The chairs are surprisingly strong despite their refined appearance and tapered legs. One chair has the original Troy brand sticker. Of the three chairs, one is in good condition, one is rated good-fair, and the third is in fair condition. This rating is primarily based on worn wicker areas. Therefore, the chairs are in used vintage condition and bear the marks of their age (around 70 years). That said, this set was stored inside and remains remarkably intact. There is light oxidation and scuffs on the legs. The leg tips (if there were any originally) are missing but there is no corrosion. Please refer to the photos in the listing--the buyer is happy to send more detailed photos and answer questions.
The set was cleaned recently with plain water and the chairs might benefit from further cleaning, polishing, or bleaching, followed by staining the wicker and/or a polyurethane finish. As the set is today, it is unaltered condition. I strive to ensure the buyer has full knowledge of any and all blemishes or flaws. These lovely chairs encapsulate the atomic aesthetic coupled with natural fibers.
